Where is Tanglewood Art Studios located?
We’re in the heart of Macon, Georgia—a creative hub tucked away at 1080 Third Street inside the SoPop Studios building. You’ll find us right in the middle, in Suite 500, surrounded by fellow dreamers, makers, and creators.
What are your hours?
Hours vary depending on events, exhibitions, and workshops. Typically, we’re open Monday–Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM. Check our Events Calendar for the latest schedule or email us to set up an appointment.
Is there parking available?
Yes! We have ample free parking on-site.
Is the studio wheelchair accessible?
Absolutely—we believe art should be accessible to everyone.
Gallery Shows
Do I need tickets to attend a show?
Nope! Our shows are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted for special events.
Can I purchase the art on display?
Yes! Most works are available for purchase. Scan the QR code by the piece or ask a staff member—we’ll make it easy.
How often do the exhibits change?
We host rotating shows quarterly, so there’s always something fresh to see. When we’re not featuring a special exhibition, the walls showcase work from our resident artists and other local creatives.
Events & Classes
What types of events do you host?
We celebrate creativity in many forms—from rotating exhibitions and artist talks to workshops, poetry readings, and community gatherings. We also collaborate with local organizations and other SoPop creatives to keep things vibrant.
How do I sign up for a class or event?
Visit our Upcoming Events section to browse what’s happening and register online in just a few clicks.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Life happens! Cancel at least 3 days in advance for a full refund or credit.
Studio Rentals
Can I rent the studio space for private events?
Yes! Our space is perfect for photoshoots, small gatherings, creative workshops, and more.
What’s included with a studio rental?
The gallery space is about 300 sqft and comfortably fits 12–18 people. Rentals include tables, chairs, Wi-Fi, plenty of natural light, and access to the open gallery. Additional equipment may be available upon request.
How much does it cost to rent the gallery space?
We offer flexible pricing with a $100 minimum:
Hourly: $50/hour — perfect for small workshops, meetings, or photoshoots
Half-Day (up to 4 hours): $175 — discounted for longer bookings
Do you offer private workshops?
Yes! We host private workshops for groups of all sizes. Erin can lead a creative session herself, or we can customize an experience—like pairing art with breathwork or mindfulness through our collaborators at Macon Peace. Email us to start planning: hello@tanglewoodartstudios.com.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 4 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date.
How do I book the gallery space?
Email us at hello@tanglewoodartstudios.com with your date, time, and event details. We’ll confirm availability and send over a simple rental agreement. A $100 minimum and a 50% non-refundable deposit are required to reserve your booking.
Artists & Exhibitors
How can I apply to exhibit my work?
We’re always looking for emerging and established artists to showcase in Macon. Email us at hello@tanglewoodartstudios.com with your artist statement, short bio, and a link to your portfolio. We review submissions on a rolling basis and would love to see your work.

Do you take a commission on sales?
Yes—we take a commission on artwork sales, which varies by exhibition. These funds help support our shows and keep the studio running.
Miscellaneous
Can I take photos during my visit?
Yes, and we love seeing them! Tag us at @TanglewoodArtStudios and credit the artist whenever possible.
Are pets allowed?
Service animals are always welcome. For other pets, please check with us before bringing them along.
Do you serve food or drinks?
Sometimes! At special events, we may offer refreshments. For regular gallery visits, sealed beverages are fine—just keep them away from the artwork.
